Botanical biodiversity and ecoinformatics
Botanical collections are a critical element of biodiversity research and plant conservation, but they are often biased across landscapes, time and taxonomic groups. It is urgently necessary to identify and address existing gaps exist before climate change and land use alter diversity baselines and limit our future ability to make meaningful comparisons. This project focuses on a specific region, but we are constructing open-source, reproducible code and GIS resources so that botanists anywhere may prioritize collections efforts efficiently.
